Feb 3 – 9, 2014 The Week in Chinese Astrology

Highlights this week are a double Horse Tuesday, Mercury retrograde on Monkey Thursday, and a grand trine Pig Sunday!

Mon Feb 3 is a growth-oriented Wood Snake day. Moon conjuncts Uranus, moods change quickly. Venus conjuncts Pluto all week for relationship intensity, want to get to the depth of things. If not clear then keep to yourself and be in observation mode like a Snake. Snake day luck strong for Snake, Ox, Monkey, and Phoenix (Rooster). Snake hours 9 – 11 am.

Tues Feb 4 is a DOUBLE HORSE Day: Fire Horse day in Wood Horse year. No one wants to be told what to do and everyone is a rebel! Moon is opposite Mars so people are excitable, easy to get irritated. But good for sports, physical activity. Mercury conjunct Neptune for self expression but can lead to illusions or fantasy. Horse day luck strong for Horse, Tiger, Dog, and Sheep. Horse hours 11 am – 1 pm.

Wed Feb 5  is a lovely Fire Sheep day when Moon sextiles Mercury, Jupiter, and Neptune for good social connections, enjoyment of friends and family, and increased sensitivity to others. Take a break on a Sheep day and be social, enjoy life. Can smooth over any difficulties problems remain from yesterday’s double Horse combativeness. Sheep day luck strong for Sheep, Rabbit, Horse, and Pig. Sheep hours 1 – 3 pm.

Thurs Feb 6 is an Earth Monkey day and first quarter Moon. Quarter Moons are time for balance, so stay as balanced as you can because communication planet Mercury goes retrograde today until Feb 28. E vents can be chaotic during Mercury retrograde in a Horse year. So be brave and ride out the wild energy! Monkey day luck strong for Monkey, Rat, Dragon, and Snake and during Monkey hours 3 – 5 pm.

Fri Feb 7 is an Earth Phoenix (Rooster) day. Moon is opposite Saturn, and Moon squares Mercury conjunct Neptune. Can feel lonely, isolated, and overly critical. Relationships are challenged and communication can be problematic. No pecking! Get organized and pay attention to details. Phoenix day luck strong for Phoenix, Ox, Dragon, and Snake. Phoenix hours 5 – 7 pm.

Sat Feb 8 is a Metal Dog (white Dog) day that’s naturally fortunate in Tiger month and Horse year. Moon sextiles Uranus for new discoveries and meeting new people. Can easily break from your routine. But a couple of Uranus squares so drive carefully if on a day trip, especially during this Mercury retrograde. There are a couple of oppositions so don’t fight to prove your point. Dog day luck strong for Dog, Rabbit, Tiger, and Horse. Dog hours 7 – 9 pm.

Sun Feb 9 is a Metal Pig day. Sun, Moon, and Mars are in a lucky grand trine for an easy flow of energy in life. Family and friends are important. Enjoy, share, and be social. Pig loves a party so an excellent day to entertain. Pig day luck strong for Pig, Tiger, Rabbit, and Sheep. Pig hours 9 – 11 pm.
