Fire Ox Paper Cut OutHighlights this week are a new Moon on Tuesday at 5:14 am PST that starts Fire Ox month, the final month of this Wood Horse year. Plus communication planet Mercury goes retrograde on Wednesday!

Mon Jan 19 is Wood SHEEP day. Moon conjuncts Pluto bringing emotional strength and insights under the guidance of kind Wood Sheep. If feeling overwhelmed, take care of yourself. Now is the peak of Mars conjunct Neptune: Mars wants action, whereas dreamy Neptune does not. Avoid accepting things at face value. Not the time for shortcuts. Mars continues to conjunct Neptune until January 29. Plus Saturn squares this Mars and Pluto conjunction. Aspects of Mars and Saturn can feel like driving with the brakes on. So proceed carefully during this transit. To succeed, be through even when projects take more time than anticipated. Mars continues to square Saturn until January 22. Sheep day luck strong for Sheep, Rabbit, Horse, and Pig. Sheep hours 1 – 3 pm.

Tues Jan 20 is Fire MONKEY (red Monkey) day and a NEW MOON at 5:14 am PST that starts the month of the Fire Ox, the final month of this Wood Horse year! Every Chinese year ends during an Ox month that brings opportunities to get grounded and complete projects. Sun and Moon sextile Saturn for a reflective tone on this new Moon. The next new Moon on February 18 begins the month of the Earth Tiger, the new Moon of Chinese New Year that begins the year of the Wood Sheep. Monkey new Moon luck strong for Monkey, Rat, Dragon, and Snake. Monkey hours 3 – 5 pm.

Wed Jan 21 is Fire PHOENIX (Rooster) day when communication planet Mercury goes retrograde for three weeks. So drive carefully, allow more time when traveling, and be sure to not lose keys, wallet, or other important items! Anticipate problems with technology and communication. Moon conjuncts Mercury and Venus for lots of self expression. This Mercury and Venus conjunction is opposite Jupiter so everyone has much to say, and have many opinions. Ideas can be inspirational, not necessarily realistic. Phoenix day luck strong for Phoenix, Ox, Dragon, and Snake. Phoenix hours 5 – 7 pm.

Thurs Jan 22 is Earth DOG day. Dog days are fortunate in Horse year because Horse, Dog, and Tiger are best friends. Moon conjuncts Neptune for increased sensitivity, a natural Dog trait. But Moon squares Saturn bringing a serious tone, and Dog can be a pessimist. Moon conjuncts Mars and Neptune so easy to be angry or impatient. So not time to sort out problems in relationships. Dog day luck strong for Dog, Rabbit, Tiger, and Horse. Dog hours 7 – 9 pm.

Fri Jan 23 is Earth PIG day, the fortunate golden Pig! People are feeling the ongoing Jupiter trine Uranus, so express yourself by doing something different to break from routine. Jupiter trine Uranus is considered very lucky in astrology, even fortunate for gambling! So celebrate tonight and enjoy the good life. Pig day luck strong for Pig, Tiger, Rabbit, and Sheep. Pig hours 9 – 11 pm.

Sat Jan 24 is Metal RAT day. Moon sextiles Sun bringing emotional balance and stability. Plus Moon trines Saturn for a realistic viewpoint. Under the influence of Saturn, elders have answers so allow them to help with your plans. A day to get things done, and socializing is fun on a Rat evening. Rat loves the pack. Rat day luck strong for Rat, Ox, Dragon, and Monkey. Rat hours 11 pm – 1 am.

Sun Jan 25 is double OX: Metal Ox day in Fire Ox month. Moon conjuncts Uranus so people want to act rashly, and moods change quickly. Fortunately, Ox is steady and stable to slow down with plans — especially during Mercury retrograde until Feb 11, 2015. Fortunately, Moon trines Jupiter for warm feelings and concern for others. Plus Moon sextiles Mercury for better communication. Venus, Mars, and Neptune are in a conjunction bringing romance and enjoyment of earth’s bounty.
