FULL MOON IN CANCER

Wednesday January 15, 2014 at 8:52 pm PST is a full Moon in Cancer. Cancer is an emotionally sensitive Water sign that can open you to new creative expression. This full Moon conjuncts lucky Jupiter to feel good, easily get along well with others, and enjoy home, family, and friends.

The full Moon is opposite the Sun and Venus, bringing a desire for art, beauty, and perhaps a bit of indulgence. Love planet Venus is retrograde until January 31 making this a nice time to reconnect with old friends, and to appreciate the relationships in your circle. Feelings and insights brought to the surface under the light of the full Moon are felt most strongly by the Water signs Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces.

TAIL OF THE SNAKE

Emotions can be passionate because this full Moon occurs on a Fire Dog day. Dog values honesty and integrity, and the Fire Dog is concerned about right and wrong. Mars, Venus, and Jupiter are in a square so if it’s difficult to compromise, know that during a Fire Dog full Moon you don’t need to resolve all issues.

As Snake year ends, Horse year begins in two weeks on the new Moon of January 30 bringing new energy and excitement.

  1. I am confused by my birthdate and how exactly I fit into Chinese astrology. My date is 28 January 1967. I have read that I am the sheep, the horse and the snake – depending on the source. Is the element also sorted by year or by another method?
    Thank you.

  2. I have read that I am a sheep, snake and horse depending on the source. How do I determine what is my animal and element? I was born 28 January 1967.
    Thank you.
