Mon Jan 27 is an Earth Dog (yellow Dog) day to get grounded. Moon sextiles Mercury and Mars for good communication and courage of your convictions. But Venus conjuncts Pluto for relationship intensity. and squaring Jupiter and Uranus can provoke a fight. Calm down but if you must battle, defend what is right on a Dog day. Dog day luck strong for Dog, Rabbit, Tiger & Horse. Dog hours 7 – 9 pm.

Tues Jan 28 is an Earth Pig day, the fortunate golden Pig, when Moon conjuncts Venus and Pluto, all opposite Jupiter, to live large and enjoy life. Go out and socialize, even on a Tuesday. Get in a festive mood for Chinese New Year of the Horse! Pig day luck strong for Pig, Tiger, Rabbit & Sheep. Pig hours 9 – 11 pm.

Wed Jan 29 is a Metal Rat (white Rat) day when Moon squares Mars so can be moody or out of sorts. Mercury conjuncts Neptune great for imagination but not good for definite plans. Use Rat smarts and energy to complete projects before new Moon tomorrow starts the year of the Wood Horse. Planets in squares so best to slow down. Rat day luck strong for Rat, Ox, Dragon & Monkey. Rat hours 11 pm – 1 am.

Thurs Jan 30 is a new Moon at 1:38 pm PST that starts the year of the Wood Horse! Horse year is a time of fast victories, unexpected adventure, and surprising romance. This new Moon starts Fire Tiger month so new energy arrives with a roar! Horse and Tiger are best friends, along with Dog, so right away Horse energy is in synch. Even retrograde planets won’t slow down the lively energy of Horse and Tiger. Venus, Jupiter, Uranus, and Pluto are in a square that could cause chaos or confusion. But strong Horse thrives on chaos and action. Problems? Under the influence of the Horse, just keep moving forward and create change. Last year Snake 2013 was the time for thoughtful contemplation. Now in Horse year is the time to act! Horse year luck strong for Horse, Tiger, Dog & Sheep.

Fri Jan 31 is a double Tiger day, a Water Tiger day in a Fire Tiger month. Chinese New Year of the Horse has arrived! Venus is no longer retrograde so romance is in the air as lusty Horse year begins. Jupiter is opposite Venus and Pluto, and Jupiter squares Uranus in a big T-square. Can be chaotic, but people want freedom and feel that change is the only way to proceed. No one wants to be held back like a Tiger in a cage. Tiger day luck strong for Tiger, Dog, Horse & Pig. Tiger hours 3 – 5 am.

Sat Feb 1 is a fortunate Water Rabbit day when Moon conjuncts Mercury and Neptune and trines Jupiter for creativity, inspiration, and plain good luck! But still squares in the heavens, and the Sun is not aspected, so take time to relax and find your center. Good weekend to tidy up and do feng shui enhancements for Chinese New Year. Rabbit day luck strong for Rabbit, Sheep, Dog & Pig. Rabbit hours 5 – 7 am.

Sun Feb 2 is a Wood Dragon (green Dragon) day on the midpoint between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. Moon trines Saturn for emotional balance and understanding. There are Uranus squares so just go along with the unique, eclectic energy that Dragon enjoys. Good for a day trip, new adventure, or break the mold in some way. Dragon day luck strong for Dragon, Rat, Snake & Monkey. Dragon hours 7 – 9 am.

Good luck and happy New Year,

Susan

    • The 60 year cycle is the 12 signs x the 5 elements = 60.
The 12 signs are Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Phoenix (Rooster), Dog & Pig.
The 5 elements are Fire, Earth, Metal, Water & Wood.
