Taoist Astrology by Susan LevittOctober 6 – 12, 2014 The Week in Chinese Astrology

Highlights are a Full Moon Eclipse on Wednesday at 3:51 am PT, and a vital Fire Dragon Sunday!

Mon Oct 6 is DOUBLE DOG: Metal Dog day in this Wood Dog month. Dog day and month are fortunate in Horse year because Dog and Horse, along with Tiger, create a relationship harmony trine. Plus Mars, Jupiter, and Uranus are in a grand trine that bring luck. Sun conjuncts Venus for art, love, and beauty. But Moon squares Mars that can bring opposing opinions. Fortunately Moon trines Saturn to stay emotionally balanced. Double Dog day luck strong for Dog, Rabbit, Tiger, and Horse. Dog hours 7 – 9 pm.

Tues Oct 7 is Metal PIG day. Sun and Venus are opposite Uranus for some new adventures, including culinary adventures. Pig loves food! So lighten up today. Could feel lazy and extravagant, or just seek enjoyment. The fortunate grand trine continues of Mars, Jupiter, and Uranus so just go with the flow today. Energy builds to Full Moon tomorrow. Pig day luck strong for Pig, Tiger, Rabbit, and Sheep. Pig hours 9 – 11 pm.

Wed Oct 8 is a LUNAR ECLIPSE at 3:51 am PT. Enjoy the harmonious grand trine of Full Moon, Uranus, Mars, and Jupiter. This grand trine helps create an easier flow of energy, and is superb for all kinds of activities; you can plan with foresight and see the big picture, business transactions are favored, and natural optimism leads to beneficial results. You can grasp new ideas quickly, and fortunate discoveries or inventions happen as if by accident. Don’t worry about Mercury retrograde because plans can be revised at a later time. Plus Sun blends with Venus for the return of romance, and rediscovering your creativity. But four squares to Pluto so avoid trouble. Actions must have integrity — especially during Dog month. This Full Moon is an eclipse. An eclipse is an absence of light when the shadow is seen so dishonesty will be exposed, as if sniffed out by a Dog. Seek a balance of freedom and reform. Events that are set in motion during the time of an eclipse come to fruition in six months. Full Moon energy is powerful for everyone, and is most influential for those born in Dog, Horse, and Tiger years.

Thurs Oct 9 is Water OX day. The grand trine of Mars, Jupiter, and Uranus continues to open doors and seek new opportunities. Can catch up and stay steady on an Ox day. Many harmonious trines and sextiles help relationships dynamics, especially at work. Moon sextile Neptune good for intuition and empathy. Ox day luck strong for Ox, Rat, Snake, and Phoenix (Rooster). Ox hours 1 am – 3 am.

Fri Oct 10 is Wood TIGER day. Tiger day in Wood Dog month and Wood Horse year is fortunate because Tiger, Dog, and Horse create a relationship harmony trine. Sun in strong aspects to Venus and Jupiter for good feelings, and is ideal for a party! Lots of Wood for action! Tiger day luck strong for Tiger, Dog, Horse, and Pig. Tiger hours 3 am – 5 am.

Sat Oct 11 is Wood RABBIT day. Strong emotions and feelings stirred by Sun and Venus opposite Uranus. People crave something new, and want artistic exploration for self expression. Mars, Jupiter, and Uranus grand trine continues for easier flow of creativity. Moon square Neptune brings a dreamy state of mind. Rabbit day luck strong for Rabbit, Sheep, Dog, and Pig. Rabbit hours 5 – 7 am.

Sun Oct 12 is Fire DRAGON (red Dragon) day when you could sense the current Mercury retrograde. Mercury is retrograde until October 25. Sun conjuncts Mercury and Venus for conversations and sharing your viewpoints. Moon trines Sun and Venus for pleasant times. Nice to socialize with friends. And Dragon likes a big celebration.Dragon day luck strong for Dragon, Rat, Snake, and Monkey. Dragon hours 7 – 9 am.

Good luck and have a great week,

Susan Levitt
