Feb 2 marks the solar point between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. It’s the pagan holiday of Imbolc, the birthing of the lambs, also called Candlemas. And a time for divination about weather, hence Groundhog Day. If Candlemas is fair and bright, winter has another flight. If Candlemas brings clouds and rain, winter will not come again.
