NEW MOON in CANCER
July 4th 2016 at 4:01 am PT is a new Moon in Water sign Cancer. The Sun, new Moon, Mercury, and Venus are all in Cancer, making this lunar month the time to focus on home, friends and family, and taking care of your health. We finally get a break from the fast-paced and lively activities of this Fire Monkey year to slow down, reset your energy, and tend to whatever needs to be balanced in your life.
This new Moon on the 4th of July holiday is fortunate, and sets the tone for the entire lunar month. Love planet Venus conjunct Sun, new Moon, and Mercury creates happy social times and good communication. Plus Venus trines Mars in Scorpio for passion and romance. The United States was born in 1776, a Fire Monkey year, and 2016 is a Fire Monkey year, so anticipate much activity and celebration this holiday weekend.
The new Moon, Sun, and Mercury all trine Neptune in Pisces for increased imagination and creativity. Empathy and sensitivity are heightened. People are more idealistic, seeing the best in others. These harmonious trines temper Neptune opposite Jupiter in Virgo and squaring Mars in Sagittarius when it can be easy to speculate or take foolish risks, especially with finances. The Sun, new Moon, Mercury, and Venus all square Pluto when emotions could get carried away and lead to impulses that are not in your best interest.
WOOD SHEEP MONTH
This July 4th new Moon begins the month of the Wood Sheep. Sheep is a symbol of love and peace. Artistic Sheep is a gentle soul who loves the fine things in life. Sheep month comforts are most strongly appreciated by Water signs Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces and those born in Sheep, Rabbit, Horse, and Pig years.
