May 30, 2022 at 4:30 am PDT is a new Moon in Gemini. Gemini is the magical, mercurial trickster of the zodiac. Air sign Gemini rules the 3rd house of communication, ideas, and travel. The new Moon and Sun are in Gemini to inspire and brainstorm ideas, plans, and concepts during this lunar month. Contact me for your tarot or astrology reading for guidance.

Gemini is ruled by Mercury, and Mercury retrograde continues until June 3. We can feel the retrograde influence for an extra week until June 10. Still, there is much mercurial action as Mercury trines Pluto in Capricorn for new learning and greater insight; Mercury sextiles Neptune in Pisces that stimulates creative imagination and increases intuition; and Mercury squares Saturn in Aquarius for needed discipline, yet can be critical of differing viewpoints.

This new Moon begins the month of the Fire Horse. Horse month is favorable in a Tiger year because Tiger is very compatible with Horse. They are both brave, strong souls who are natural warriors. Exciting Fire Horse month is time to take action and explore. In Chinese medicine, Horse’s earthly branch is Fire, giving Fire Horse a double dose of Fire’s brilliance and vitality. Fire Horse is independent, determined, and no one can tell a Fire Horse what to do.

Enhancing Fire Horse dynamism is Mars conjunct Jupiter in Aries that indicates fortunate action and outcomes. If you knock on a door, it opens. You can take a chance and win, although you might need to slow down a bit if you lose focus. Fire energy can become chaotic, but there is stability with Mercury, Venus, and Uranus all in fixed Earth sign Taurus.

Fire Horse lunar month can be a powerful and decisive time for all, and is strongest for Air signs Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius and those born in Horse, Tiger, Dog, and Sheep years.

Happy new Moon,
