2024 Full Moon in Gemini peak of Rat lunar month

Dec 15 2024 is a full Moon in Gemini. Air sign Gemini rules the 3rd house of ideas and communication. Gemini enjoys change, travel, and new experiences. This full Moon, and as the Moon wanes, is favorable for personal interactions and travel. Say yes to holiday gatherings, especially big celebrations during the tail of this Dragon year. Mercury retrograde started on Nov 25 and ends on Dec 15, although there remains the influence of the Mercury retrograde shadow week until Dec 22, so continue to pay attention to details.

Fortunately, Mercury trines Mars in Leo. People are not easily discouraged, and it’s easier to speak up and be understood. Note that Mars is retrograde Dec 6 – Feb 23, 2025. So fine to enjoy the holidays, then put serious plans into action when Mars goes direct. Mars is opposite Pluto newly in Aquarius so if you sense any resistance from others, now is not the time for a battle. There will be plenty of time for that in Snake year 2025.

The full Moon in Gemini and Sun in Sagittarius square Neptune in Pisces. This is great for entertainment, but not for serious planning or commitments. Idealism is stimulated, but goals might not be realistic. Venus in Aquarius trines Jupiter in Gemini for love luck, romance, surrounding yourself with beauty, and is ideal for social interactions.

This full Moon marks the peak of Rat lunar month. Rat loves a good party, but Rat also brings a focus on money, and how money is or is not wisely handled. A better time for managing partnership finances will be during Ox lunar month that begins on the new Moon in Capricorn on Dec 30.
