March 29, 2025 at 3:58 am PT is a new Moon, preceded by a partial Solar Eclipse starting at 1:50 am and peaking at 3:47 am. The Moon will pass in front of the Sun, creating an eclipse as the lunar shadow falls on the Arctic and Atlantic oceans, and will be visible in parts of the northern hemisphere.
Eclipses occur in pairs twice a year. Two weeks ago on the full Moon was a total Lunar Eclipse. The next pairing of eclipses will be in September.
