New Moon begins the month of the Fire Dragon
Highlights this week are a complex DOUBLE SNAKE day on Tuesday, a new Moon on Wednesday at 2:35 am PDT that starts the exciting month of the FIRE DRAGON, and transformation planet PLUTO goes retrograde on Friday.
Monday April 8 starts the week with a bang on a busy Wood Dragon day. The element Wood is active and growth oriented. But use the dynamic energy of this Dragon day to complete projects instead of initiating new endeavors because today and tomorrow are a balsamic (dark) Moon that ends this lunar cycle. Make plans for the new Moon on Wednesday that starts the month of the Fire Dragon, followed by the month of the Fire Snake in May. These will be the two most powerful months of this Snake year 2013. Tuesday April 9 is a double Snake day; a Wood Snake day in a Water Snake year. This is harmonious because Water helps Wood (plants) to grow. Plus the Moon squares Pluto so do not argue with anyone; quietly observe like a wise Snake and simply go about your business. Tonight the Moon sextiles Jupiter for a lovely and relaxing evening. Wednesday April 10 at 2:35 am PDT is a new Moon that begins the month of the Fire Dragon! No one can tell a Fire Dragon what to do. Fire Dragons might be impulsive and make mistakes, but then move right on to the next adventure. Under the influence of the Fire Dragon, time to take action and be a leader not a follower. This new Moon blends with the Sun, Venus, and Mars in a very fortunate pack to start new endeavors and pursue goals. You can be recharged for the month ahead with new energy and vitality, plus strength and power to focus. It’s fortunate to socialize, network, and expand your circle. Love and romance are lucky so be innovative and creative to take risks, even though a new love affair could fizzle fast. This new Moon is on a Fire Horse day to follow your gut instincts just like a real horse. Luck is strongest for the Horse, Tiger, Dragon, and Monkey and during Dragon hours 7 am – 9 am and Horse hours 11 am – 1 pm.
Thursday April 11 is a more peaceful Fire Sheep day when the Moon sextiles Neptune for creativity, art appreciation, and kindness to others. Now is a good day to set the tone for the lunar month with feng shui improvements or to add beauty with fresh flowers or bright colors. The Moon is opposite Saturn and trines Pluto so more serious and sensitive. Just lighten up on this pleasant Sheep day and take a break from your worries. Friday April 12 is an Earth Monkey day that brings luck and good fortune because Monkey and Dragon are best friends, and this is a Dragon month. Plus the Earth Monkey, the Gold Monkey, has Monkey ingenuity coupled with the practical qualities of the element Earth. Today the planet of transformation Pluto goes retrograde today until September 21, two days before autumn equinox. Pluto retrograde will add depth and gravity to all actions and encounters. This is ideal in a deep Water Snake year, the time to heal, shed your skin, and rebuild. But Pluto retrograde could be frustrating if projects take longer than anticipated to get to the bottom of things, not shallow or just on the surface. Adding to the good fortune is the Moon blending with Jupiter for a party, celebration, good times — or just supportive feelings and generosity in general instead of a Dog crusade for the truth.
