The Week in Chinese Astrology

September 9 – 15, 2013

white craneHighlights this week are three magical trines to Neptune on Earth Tiger Monday, a very fortunate grand trine on Metal Dragon Wednesday, and Wood Monkey Sunday with planetary crosses not good for team work.

Mon Sept 9 is an Earth Tiger day, the lucky yellow Tiger or gold Tiger. The Earth Tiger has the calmest temper of all Tigers due to the stabilizing Earth influence. And today you will need that Earth influence to stay steady! The Moon conjuncts Saturn and squares Mars. This can feel very frustrating like driving with the brakes on. You could also feel alienated or isolated from others. But your intuition is very keen today with three trines to inspirational creative Neptune. Perhaps a day better for dreams than Tiger action. Luck is strong for Tiger, Dog, Horse, and Pig and during Tiger hours 3 am – 5 am.

Tues Sept 10 is an Earth Rabbit day. Rabbit is opposite Phoenix (Rooster) and this is the month of the Phoenix. Try to not be contrary. Venus conjuncts Saturn that could be trying in relationships. Strong partnerships will survive but weak ones will be challenged. Now is a time for clearing out relationships that you’ve outgrown over time. Try Rabbit diplomacy instead of a Phoenix argument to justify your actions. Sun sextiles Moon for healing so make time to take care under the influence of the gentle Rabbit. Luck is strong for Rabbit, Sheep, Dog, and Pig and during Rabbit hours 5 am – 7 am.

Wed Sept 11 is a Metal Dragon (white Dragon) day. Moon trines Mars and Uranus in a lucky grand trine! Can be strong, courageous, confident, and stand your ground. Fortunate to ask for a raise, promotion, or bonus. Moon, Mars, and Uranus in a grand trine brings an easy flow of energy. This helps with the driving with the brakes on feeling because Mars still squares Saturn. Fortunate for feng shui enhancements. Luck is strong for Dragon, Rat, Snake, and Monkey and during Dragon hours 7 am – 9 am.

Thurs Sept 12 is a penetrating double Snake day, a Metal Snake day in this Water Snake year. Snake day is fortunate in a Phoenix month because Snake and Phoenix are best friends along with Ox. Sun squares waxing half Moon so strive for balance today. Mercury is opposite Uranus and squares Pluto. Better to be contemplative and not speak too hastily. Snake loves persuasion so it won’t work to force your point of view. Slow down on a double Snake day. Luck is strong for Snake, Ox, Monkey, and Phoenix and during Snake hours 9 am – 11 am.

Fri Sept 13 is a Water Horse (black Horse) day when Moon sextiles Venus, Saturn, and Neptune. Be social, have fun, and be more romantic. OK to spend time with friends. But also OK to be independent if you feel like it. Are more sensitive to your surroundings. Moon conjuncts Pluto for deep insights and depth of meaning. Luck is strongest for Horse, Tiger, Dog, and Sheep and during Horse hours 11 am – 1 pm.

Sat Sept 14 is a friendly and sociable Water Sheep day. Sun trines Moon for inner peace and balance that Sheep loves. Mars trines Uranus for new adventures and personal growth. Venus conjuncts Saturn and trines Neptune so relationships are important. Can bond deeply and trust. Luck is strongest for Sheep, Rabbit, Horse, and Pig and during Sheep hours 1 pm – 3 pm.

Sun Sept 15 is a Wood Monkey day when no one wants to be told what to do. Moon is opposite Mars in a challenging square to Venus conjunct Saturn. So not good for team work! Mercury is opposite Uranus and squares Jupiter and Pluto in another challenging square. Try to put the brakes on if energy gets too active. Moon trines Mercury to talk about feelings. And Moon sextiles Uranus for innovation that Monkey loves. Luck is strong for Monkey, Rat, Dragon, and Snake and during Monkey hours 3 pm – 5 pm.
